We can recommend some places to you, and if you would like to eat at a particular restaurant, we can make a reservation for you – just let us know. It might depend on how severe your restrictions are. In bigger cities, vegetarian meals are not difficult to come by. In suburbhs, smaller towns and villages, you might struggle to find vegan and gluten-free meals. However, you can always call the restaurant in advance or ask on the spot about not including specific ingredients in your dish.
Keep in mind that Scotland has a maritime climate with mild summers and cold and humid winters. The locals are fond of saying that you can experience all four seasons in a day, and quite often that’s the case. Make sure you pack for unpredictable weather, even in the summer, and don’t forget an umbrella or a raincoat!
